This week's update covers my copy trading portfolio on eToro, with particular focus on Gold and Silver positions and a review of how the people I'm copying have been performing.

Gold and Silver

Gold has been performing strongly recently, which has had a positive effect on the portfolio. Some of the people I'm copying have significant positions in precious metals, and it's been interesting to watch how these have moved. Silver has also seen some movement — as ever, these assets can be volatile and move in ways that are hard to predict.

Portfolio Allocation Thoughts

I've been thinking about my overall allocation — how much I have copied with each person on eToro. The balance between those focused on equities, those with commodity exposure, and those with crypto positions is something I review regularly. Getting this mix right is part of what copy trading requires — you still need to think about diversification even when you're not making the individual trades yourself.

What I'm Watching

The global economic backdrop has been uncertain, which is reflected in the markets. I'm paying attention to how the people I copy respond to this — do they hold steady, adjust their positions, or react to short-term noise? Their behaviour in uncertain markets tells you a lot about their approach.
